About Ione Milner

Ione G. Milner is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, (LICSW) and Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) in Clinical Social Work. She adds an important level of client counseling, when needed, to facilitate successful hearing aid use as well as deal with deeper issues that may confront families and individuals when hearing loss becomes a significant factor in emotional well-being and relationships with others.

For over 25 years Ione was a clinical supervisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Social Services. Now she is focusing on a private practice as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist working closely with medical as well as other mental health professionals to provide therapy to individuals, couples, families, adults and children.

At Hearing Care Center, her role is to help with the issues that ensure positive outcomes in dealing with hearing loss, use of hearing aids and other issues that confront children and adults. These may include working with parents in understanding hearing loss in children, working with school personnel to insure compliance with education plans involving use of hearing aids and assistive technologies. She has also worked with families with deaf or hard of hearing adults and their normally hearing children to help them gain an understanding of the difficulties confronting these circumstances.
